Condolence From: Edward Davis
Condolence: To Angela, Chuck, Diane, Rosemary and Tony.

In the coming moments, days and years you will experience the joy of a life well lived and the sorrow of missing that presence. In the forefront of those emotions and thoughts will be the light of your mother who shined so brightly and brought a warmth and comfort to all who came in contact with her.

Her passion for treating people well and making them feel important has impacted several generations of family, neighbors, friends and guests alike. In her own way she was a transformative leader through her caring and loving of people, and helping them feel confident and encouraged to achieve whatever they may.

Her character, integrity and good will are all part of the legacy she has instilled in each of you, my cousins. This legacy continues through your children, their children and so on. The light, love and life of Mary Ellen Fields lives on through you all. I am proud to call her aunt, and proud to call you all family. May the light of God's face shine upon you all to comfort and guide you as we celebrate the life of Mary Ellen Fields.

Love,
Edward "Duane, Beechie" Davis

Luke 11:33 (NKJV)

33 “No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.

Condolence From: St. Paul's AME Church
Condolence: To the Family of MaryEllen Fields;

There isn’t any way to prepare for the sudden loss of a family member. In the quiet moments when the hurt is hard to bear, may love become your shelter and may the beauty of memories become your comfort.

You have the sympathies of the members of St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church as you make your way through this passage. It won’t be easy, but you can rely on the support of all your friends and church family. Mary will be missed by everyone.

Our prayers are with you and you have our deepest sympathy in this time of sorrow. Mary's time here touched a lot of people. Just look around at her family and friends that are here to celebrate her life.

“Don't weep at my grave, for I am not there,
I've a date with a butterfly to dance in the air.
I'll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free,
Playing tag with the wind, while I'm waiting for thee.”
