Mary Ellen "Tinnie Girl" Fields (Davis)
Mary Ellen “Tinnie Girl” (Davis) Fields, 87, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at her daughter, Rosemary’s home. She was born August 4, 1929 in Oliver #3, PA, daughter of the late Stanley “Butts” Davis, Sr. and Mary Katherine (Mizic) Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David C. “Juke” Fields, on June 23, 2006; grandchildren, Charles “Pooh” Fields and Crystal Fields-Gallagher; her sister, Madeline; and her brothers, Harry, Lawrence, Stanley, and James.
Mary was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Fairchance,, Pa., she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family as well as others. No one would ever leave her house hungry. She loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by many.
Left to cherish her memory, are her children, David “Tony” Fields and his wife Bonnie of Fairchance, Rosemary E. Fields of Fairchance, Diana L. Fields of Uniontown, Charles M. Fields and his wife Velincia of Richmond, VA, and Angela C. Depp and her husband Charles of Fairchance; grandchildren, Michael Fields, whom she raised, Bryon Fields and his wife Julie, Telly Roberson and her husband Marcus, Toni Lynn Fields, D’Iante Fields, Christopher Fields, Quinton Fields, Christopher Depp and Charlie Depp; 13 great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Robert Davis, Harold Davis, Shirley Lewis, and Anthony Davis; sisters-in-law, Georganna King and Henrietta Davis; and special family friends Laurie Moats and Jenny Shaffer whom she treated like her daughters; and many nieces, nephews, friends and their families.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc. 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, PA, 15401, on Monday, August 15, from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 16, from 1-2 p.m. the Hour of Service, with Rev. Marvin Harris and Rev. Julia King Officiating.
Interment Services will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
