Obituary for Rudolph Stephen "Rudy" Harmon

Rudolph Stephen “Rudy” Harmon, 73, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 4, 1944, in Oliver #1, PA, a son of the late John and Kathryn (Butwin) Harmon.

In addition to his parents, Rudy was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Joseph “Peewee”, John, and Tom Harmon.

Rudy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown. He was also a member of the Point Marion Eagles, North Union V.F.W. Post #8543, and the Amvets Post # 103, Hopwood, PA.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy L. Harmon, of Uniontown; his two sons, Scott A. Harmon and his wife Janice of Pittsburgh, and Eric Stephen Harmon and his wife Martina, of Manassas, VA; his grandson, Lucas Stephen Harmon; his brother, William J. Harmon of Silver Spring, MD; his sisters, Dorothy Zubovic, of Uniontown, and Mary Ann “MAP” Pillar, of Uniontown; god children, Joseph Harmon, of OH, Rachelle Beatty, of Morgantown, WV, Barbara Belan, of Point Marion, PA, Maria Harmon of Collier, PA, and Amanda Mashiana of Stafford, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, February 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, February 10, until 9:00 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA, at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as Celebrant.
Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Mausoleum.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church of Uniontown, PA, or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, www.npcf.us.
