Emelia M. "Millie" Saytos (Harenza)
Emelia “Millie” (Harenza) Saytos, 91, went to join her heavenly family on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She was born to the late Joseph and Victoria Harenza on August 14, 1929.
Millie was a graduate of the North Union High School, Class of 1945. Upon graduation, she spent her entire career working for the GC. Murphy Co. Initially she worked as a phone operator, where she would plug incoming calls into the phone bank, she would conclude her career handling a variety of office duties.
Millie was a member of St Joseph Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Happy Helen’s Club. She enjoyed dancing to polish music.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her brother, Frank; her sister, Helen, her brothers-in-law, Ted Bieniek and Lon Szmyd; and her niece, Vicki Lynn Bieniek.
She is survived by her sister Virginia;, and sister-in-law, Sophie Harenza; her nieces, Beverly Popson and Jeff, Sandra Long and Bill, and Marice Brooks and Scott, all of Uniontown; a nephew, Jerry Harenza and Verna, of Florida; a great niece, Bekkah and Matt Moreland, of Pittsburgh; and great nephews, Ian Brooks, of Michigan, and Jeremy and Kim Harenza, of Florida.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Thursday, January 11, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Friday, January 12, until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, PA.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
