Obituary for Louis A. "Lou" Georgiana

Louis A. "Lou"  Georgiana
Louis A. Georgiana, 59, of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully surrounded by his loving family and dear friends on Sunday, December 31, 2017. He was born on December 23, 1958 in Uniontown, son of the late Rudolph “Rudy” and Anna Marie (Poli) Georgiana. In addition to his parents, Lou was preceded in death by his brother, Rudolph “Spanky” Georgiana, Jr.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 38 years, Jamie Lee (Voyten) Georgiana, two sons, Louis Rudolph Georgiana and wife Patrina, and Shawn Ryan Georgiana and wife Robin, all of Uniontown; his cherished grandchildren, Rebecca Anne Georgiana, Parker Anthony Georgiana, Louis Patrick Georgiana, Elizabeth Katheryne Georgiana, Annabella Elizabeth Georgiana, Samantha Josephine Georgiana, Gryphon Xavier Hartsek, and Brayden Alexander Hartsek.

He also leaves behind three brothers and a sister, Lawrence Georgiana and wife Stephanie, Beverly Galzerano and husband Mark, Joseph Georgiana and wife Tammy, and David Georgiana; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Leah Voyten; four brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends, Sandra Ansel, and Renee Valencheck whose dedication, love, and kindness was boundless.

Lou was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School Class of 1976, and proudly served his country in the Unites States Marine Corp. He had been employed for many years with Laurel Highlands School District, was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans. Lou was a great Elvis fan. Over the past three years, Lou bravely battled cancer. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext, Uniontown, Pa. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and Friday, January 5, 2018 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., the Hour of Service at the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Paul Lesher officiating. George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103
will conduct military honors, with the assistance of the United States Marine Corps.

The committal service will be private.
