Anna Adams (Kensek)
Anna (Kensek) Adams, age 96, of Uniontown, R.D. 2, (Rosedale), died on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Lafayette Manor Nursing Home, Uniontown.
She was born March 21, 1921 in Locust Hill, Pa., daughter of John and Bridget (Hopski) Kensek.
She was a former 33 year resident of Bobtown, Pa. Currently a resident of Uniontown (Rosedale) since 1972.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband George (Sparky) Adams, whom she married May 16, 1939 (deceased November 29, 1995), her parents, brothers, Brownie Kensek, Joseph Kensek, Michael Kensek, John Kensek, and a sister Alice Kuran.
Anna was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Uniontown, Pa.
Surviving are son, James Adams and wife Janet of Chestnut Ridge, Pa., daughter, Patricia Adams Roebuck and husband Gene of Avon, Ohio, brothers, Louis Kensek of California, and Frank Kensek of Virginia, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, November 12 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and on Monday, November 13 until 10 a.m. when the Panachida Service will be held.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow on Monday at 10:30 a.m. a.m. in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 185 E. Main St., Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. John’s Byzantine Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.
