Obituary for Georgia M. Petrosky

Georgia M. Petrosky, 93, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at home with her sister, Edna and her brother, Keith by her side. Georgia was born November 24, 1923, in Montana Mines, WV, daughter of the late John and Anna (Sheranko) Petrosky.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, John Jr., Samuel, and Robert; her sisters, Josephine and Marguerite; and nieces, Catherine Hood and Edna Petrosky.
Georgia graduated from South Union High School, Class of 1942 and attended night school at George Washington University where she obtained her Masters Degree in accounting.
She was employed by the Keystone Transfer Co, in Uniontown, The Glenn L. Martin Airplane Co., in Baltimore, MD, and the U.S. Navy Department, in Washington D.C.
Georgia is survived by her sister, Edna Patrosky, of Uniontown; her brother Keith Petrosky, of Uniontown; nieces and nephews, Patty Weinzirl (Larry), of Perryville, MD, Lee Hood, of Glen Bernie, MD, Danny Petrosky, Kenneth Petrosky, Donald Petrosky, and Billy Petrosky; and a very thoughtful friend Mei Chin.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, August 25, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, August 26, until 1 p.m. the Hour of Service with Pastor Mike Lyons Officiating.
Interment will follow in White Rock Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
