Roland D Kilgore
Roland D. Kilgore, age 82, died Saturday March 25, 2017 in his home with his family and Pastor at his side.
He was born August 3, 1934 to E. Frank and Iva (Slatton) Kilgore in Uniontown, PA.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann (Seman) Kilgore, Children; Susan Dzurnak (David) of Uniontown, PA; Deborah Brownfield (Merchant C III) of Uniontown, PA; Timothy Kilgore (Shelley) of Farmington PA; Sharon Lowery of Smock, PA; eleven grandchildren; Allison (Dzurnak) Kotarsky (Robert); Michael Dzurnak (Jillian); Merchant C. Brownfield IV, Danielle (Brownfield) Bayletts (Troy); Melissa Brownfield; Timothy Kilgore (Alyssa); James Kilgore (Julie); Stephen Kilgore (Danielle); Kristen (Kilgore) Sausman (Greg); Matthew Lowery; Paul Lowery, Thirteen great grandchildren; Luka Kotarsky; Nina, Zoey, Tori Kilgore, Faithlynn, Jacelynn, Jaxon Kilgore; Adisen Kilgore; Adam Kilgore; Lawson Lutz; Joshua, Katherine, Hannah Sausman. Twin brother Raland “Ronald” Kilgore (Patty); sister Clemmie Walters, many nieces and nephews, his St. Peter’s family, brother-in-law Steve Seman (Elly) and Sisters-in-law; Marie Seman and Sharon Kilgore.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Margie Kilgore, brothers Norris, Carl, George and James Kilgore.
Roland was retired from U.S. Steel National Works and Beeson Court. He served in the U.S. Army from March 1957-1959. He was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Uniontown.
He enjoyed gardening, fixing anything that was broke, talking about his grandchildren and most recently playing with his great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Wednesday March 29, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. and on Thursday March 30, 2017 until 10:15 a.m.
The Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 121 Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, Pennsylvania with Pastor Jim Engle officiating.
Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Chapel of Memories Mausoleum, Uniontown, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded by the AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 121 Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, PA in Roland’s memory.
