Dorothy "Tootsie" Cappellini
Dorothy “Tootsie” Cappellini, 92, of Masontown, PA, died on Friday, January 13, 2017. She was born in Masontown, PA on October 22, 1924.
In addition to her parents Pete and Anna (Ludrosky) Medved, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Cappellini in 2010, two brothers and one sister.
Tootsie was a graduate of Masontown High School Class of 1942, and was a licensed Beautician in Masontown for many years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister and member of the church choir. She was an avid bowler, gardener and great cook. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
She is survived by two children, daughter, Paula Coville and husband Dominick of Masontown, PA, and son, Dr. Alan J. Cappellini and his wife Julie Ann of Uniontown, PA; grandchildren, Tiffany Shaneyfelt Duncan and husband Casey, Bethany Shaneyfelt and Pat Hubeaut, Jeremy Shaneyfelt and wife Nicole, Lindsay Coville, Trey Coville, Jarred Cappellini, Jaid Cappellini, and Jace Cappellini; great grandchildren, Kage Churby, Brinley Duncan, Casey Duncan, Jr., Mila Hubeaut, and Kenna Shaneyfelt; a sister, Betty Milhoan of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA today (Monday), January 16, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Tuesday, January 17, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, PA, with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as celebrant.
