Obituary for
Dorothy L. "Dottie" Renze (Detamore)
Dorothy L. (Detamore) Renze, 92, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Lafayette Manor.
She was born on January 26, 1924 in Morgantown WV, daughter of the late Lora and Virginia (Perkins) Detamore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Anthony N. Renze, Jr.; three sons, Anthony “Rock” Renze, III. Timothy L. Renze, and William N. Renze; and her sister, Pauline Giachetti.
“Dottie” was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, and a graduate of Uniontown High School. She loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she adored.
She is survived by sons, Mark A. Renze and his wife Cindy, and Kim A. Renze and his wife Becky, all of Uniontown, PA; her grandchildren, Timothy L. Renze, Jr., Deborah Vecchiolla and husband Scott, Mark A. Renze, Jr. and his wife Megan, Arden Renze, Jr. and his wife Becky, and Abbie E. Renze; and her great grandchildren, Evan, Anthony, Garrett, Skylar, Ella, and Grace.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, (today) Sunday, September 18, from 2 pm until 8 pm; and Monday, September 19, until 10 am when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson St., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as celebrant.
Entombment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.
